You are not broken.
You are buried.
What is buried can be uncovered.
What if you are not a broken person who needs to be fixed?
What if you are a buried person who needs to be uncovered?
The person in the chair was never the variable.
No one is asked to believe. The work is for the person who comes with no faith at all.
If you are in the darkest place you have ever been, hear this from someone who was further in than you may be. You do not have to find your own way out. I could not find mine. I was past the place where finding it was possible. God found me.
From Book Three
Your next step is not twenty steps. It is one. Tell one person the truth about what you are carrying.
It does not have to be a pastor or a doctor or a counselor. It can be a friend, a sibling, anyone who has earned your trust. You do not have to have the words right. You do not have to understand what is wrong. You only have to break the silence, because the silence is where the voice wins, and the first crack of light into a buried place is one true sentence spoken to one safe person.
One step. That is the whole invitation.
From Book Three
You are not too far gone. You are not beyond help. You are not the exception to the promise.
